<div> </div><div> </div>MANILA — ABS-CBN Corp said the first quarter total revenue of its Content Production and Distribution segment hit P3.2 billion, higher by 21 percent compared to the same period in 2024, driven by the high ratings of its leading programs as well as election-related advertising.Consolidated revenues for the period rose 4 percent to P4.2 billion, the company said in a disclosure to the stock exchange.Advertising revenue rose by P358 million in the first quarter while regular advertising revenue was boosted by a significant improvement in the ratings of leading primetime shows “Batang Quiapo” and “Incognito”, as well as the noontime block, “It’s Showtime.” “TV Patrol”, the country’s longest-running news show, also saw a substantial growth in revenues, the company said.Digital advertising revenue also grew 32 percent, buoyed by improvements in advertising on OTT platform iWantTFC, and other third-party platforms such as YouTube.Consumer revenues, meanwhile, rose 16 percent to P1.4 billion, driven by:•The Box office performance of movies “And the Breadwinner is…” and “My Love Will Make You Disappear” in overseas markets•The double-digit revenue growth coming from an increase in iWantTFC’s subscriber base overseas•BINI’s sold-out kickoff concert “BINIverse World Tour 2025”•The success of 4 events staged by ABS-CBN Global in Paris, Dubai, Melbourne, and Los AngelesMonthly revenues for the first quarter improved steadily from P877 million in January, P1.089 billion in February, and P1.209 billion in March, the company said.For the month of March, it generated positive operating income of P31 million and a net income of P8 million, it added. Net loss for the segment in the first quarter improved 49 percent.While the revenue for the Cable TV and Broadband segment is lower by 27 percent in the first quarter compared to the same period in 2024, the segment’s net loss improved by 50 percent, the company said.Consolidated net loss for the first three months of the year amounted to P500 million, an improvement of 50 percent versus the comparable period last year.
