<p>MANILA -- Third telco DITO Telecommunity on Wednesday said it has no employer-employee relationship with the foreigners affiliated with its business partners.</p><p>On May 29, Bureau of Immigration officers visited DITO&#x27;s offices, after which 39 foreign nationals affiliated with the firm&#x27;s accredited business partners were brought in for further verification.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/business/2025/6/2/dito-telco-denies-employing-foreign-nationals-says-compliant-with-ph-laws-2058" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">DITO telco denies employing foreign nationals, says compliant with PH laws</a></div><p>In a regulatory filing, DITO Telecommunity&#x27;s parent firm DITO CME said the companies won&#x27;t be hurt by any legal cases that may be filed because there is no employer-employee relationship between them and the foreign nationals.</p><p>&quot;DITO CME Holdings Corp. wishes to inform the investing public that neither DITO CME nor DITO Tel has any equity or financial interest in the business partner which employs the 39 foreign nationals,&quot; the firm added.</p><p>&quot;Moreover, despite the fact that such 39 foreign nationals render continuing technical support services to DITO and its stand alone 5G network, there is no material impact to its services.&quot;</p><p>&quot;DITO Tel, however, notes that there might be a slight technical impact given that these individuals provide highly technical services that are very scarce in the local market but the same can be correspondingly diminished over time,&quot; the company added.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/business/2024/10/8/dito-hits-13-million-subscribers-eyes-profitability-soon-2253" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">DITO hits 13 million subscribers, eyes profitability soon</a></div>
