Mark Demayo, ABS-CBN News</span></span></span></div><div><br/></div><p>MANILA — Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) said its net income climbed 7.8 percent in the first half of 2025 to P33 billion, on the back of strong revenue growth.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/business/2024/7/18/bpi-net-income-hits-p30-6-billion-in-first-half-1405" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">BPI net income hits P30.6 billion in first half</a></div><p>In a statement, BPI said total revenues jumped 14 percent to P92.6 billion, as net interest income soared 16.2 percent to P71.2 billion.</p><p>Non-interest income also increased 7.4 percent to P21.4 billion because of fees from credit cards, insurance, and wealth management.</p><p>The bank&#x27;s assets reached P3.4 trillion, higher by 9.3 percent year-on-year.</p><p>Loans, meanwhile, were up by 14.1 percent to P2.4 trillion. Non-performing loans (NPL) ratio was at 2.25 percent.</p><p>Deposits also grew P2.6 trillion, up 6.5 percent year-on-year.</p><p>BPI&#x27;s net income reached <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/business/2025/4/21/bpi-net-income-up-9-pct-in-first-quarter-1536" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">P16.6 billion</a> in the first quarter of 2025.</p>
