Jonathan Cellona, ABS-CBN News/File</span></span></span></div><p>MANILA — Several flights on Thursday, July 17 were cancelled as tropical depression Crising churned closer to Luzon, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said. </p><p>CAAP said the following flights were cancelled as of 1 p.m.</p><ul><li id="isPasted">•DG 6117: Manila (MNL) – Naga (WNP)</li><li>•DG 6118: Naga (WNP) – Manila (MNL)</li><li>•DG-6113: Manila (MNL) – Naga (WNP)</li><li>•DG-6114: Naga (WNP) – Manila (MNL)</li><li>•DG-6171: Clark (CRK) – Masbate (MBT)</li><li>•DG-6172: Masbate (MBT) – Clark (CRK)</li><li>•5J 823: Manila (MNL) - Virac (VRC)</li><li>•5J 824: Virac (VR) - Manila (MNL)</li></ul><div><br/></div><p>The Zamboanga–Manila flight 5J860 was diverted to Laguindingan Airport &quot;for safety&quot;, CAAP added. </p><p>Affected passengers were advised to coordinate with their respective airlines for options on rebooking or refunding their tickets.</p><p>Meanwhile, all 44 CAAP-operated airports were placed under heightened alert due to the weather disturbance. </p><p>CAAP Director Raul del Rosari instructed all area and airport managers in potentially affected regions to activate their emergency plans and coordinate with local disaster councils, airline operators, and other stakeholders. </p><p>“The Bicol region, as the area mostly affected by Tropical Depression Crising, is currently making necessary preparations, particularly in the airports of Bicol (Legazpi), Naga, Virac, and Masbate,” CAAP added. </p><p>“Despite the prevailing weather disturbance, all airports within the Bicol Region remain fully operational,” it added.</p><p>Crising may make landfall over mainland Cagayan by Friday evening or Saturday morning then cross Northern Luzon, state weather bureau PAGASA said. </p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/weather-traffic/2025/7/17/crising-wind-signal-no-1-now-up-in-9-provinces-0838">Crising: Wind signal no. 1 now up in 9 provinces</a></div><div><strong>Stay ahead of the weather and traffic conditions with <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/weather-traffic">ABS-CBN&#x27;s reliable forecasts and updates </a>for safer travel across the Philippines.</strong></div><div><br/></div><div><br/></div><div><br/></div><div><br/></div><div><br style="caret-color:rgb(0, 0, 0);color:rgb(0, 0, 0)"/></div>
