<div><iframe width="1250" height="703" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/zsZ1T0hsLvA" title="LIVE: State of the Nation Address 2025 | ANC Special Coverage" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><div><br/></div><p>MANILA — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Monday said he would not sign into law a national budget that is &quot;misaligned&quot; with his administration&#x27;s programs.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2024/12/30/marcos-signs-2025-national-budget-vetoes-194-b-line-items-1239">Marcos signs 2025 national budget, vetoes ₱194-B line items</a></div><p>In his fourth State of the Nation Address, Marcos said he would &quot;return any proposed General Appropriations Bill that is not fully aligned with the National Expenditure Program.&quot;</p><p>&quot;And further, I am willing to do this even if we end up with a reenacted budget,&quot; Marcos said.</p><p>&quot;Hindi ko aaprubahan ang kahit anong budget na hindi alinsunod sa plano ng gobyerno para sa sambayanang Pilipino,&quot; he continued.</p><p>Marcos this month approved the <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/business/2025/7/15/marcos-gov-t-to-propose-p6-793-trillion-budget-for-2026-1403">proposed P6.793 trillion budget for 2026. </a></p><p>The budget agency earlier said it had received budget proposals totaling P10.101 trillion but had to evaluate programs and projects due to a limited fiscal space and its goal of reducing the government&#x27;s deficit from 5.5 percent of GDP in 2025 to 4.3 by 2028.</p><p>It added that the government will continue to invest in the Build Better More Infrastructure Program, and in digital transformation.</p><p>Marcos late last year delayed signing the 2025 national budget and then vetoed over P194 billion line items &quot;that are not consistent to our program priorities.&quot;</p>
