MANILA — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr has approved the recommendations of the Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) following its probe on the numerous complaints on the services of Villar-owned Primewater, Malacanang said Wednesday.“Opo, ang Pangulo po ay naaral na po ang report mula sa LWUA, at siya po mismo ang nag-aral nito. At ang rekomendasyon po sa kaniya ay kaniya naman pong inayunan,” Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said.The Malacañang official however did not give details on what these recommendations were.“Ang rekomendasyon po ay saka na po namin ibabahagi sa inyo. Kailangan po muna naming umaksyon. Hindi po ngayon ang tamang panahon para i-reveal kung ano po ang dapat na gawin ng pamahalaan para sa mga nabibiktima ng kakulangan ng supply tubig,” she said.“Kapag tayo po ay nabigyan na po ng pagkakataon na maibigay po ang detalye kung anuman po ang gagawin ng gobyerno at pamahalaan para sa mas mabilis na pag-aksyon sa mga biktima nitong kakulangan ng supply ng tubig, ibabahagi ko po sa inyo.”Castro earlier said the Office of the President was reviewing two &quot;balikbayan boxes&quot; worth of complaints and evidence on PrimeWater&#x27;s services.She also noted that deals between local water districts and the Villar-led PrimeWater increased during the term of Mark Villar as Secretary of the Department of Public Works and Highways. Sen. Mark Villar has denied having a hand in the deals, and Castro has said that she was not insinuating anything anomalous about the deals. Lawmakers however are pushing a measure to scrap the deals between the local water districts and the Villar-led utility amid mounting complaints of poor service.
