Jonathan Cellona, ABS-CBN News</span></span></span></div><p>MANILA — SM Prime Holdings on Tuesday said it is spending P7 billion to renovate SM Megamall.</p><p>In a statement, SM Prime said the redevelopment will add 20,000 square meters of gross leasable area to the mall and include nature-inspired architecture.</p><p>The redevelopment also includes updated state-of-the-art cinemas, a new Megatrade Hall, a redesigned food court, improved common areas and restrooms, modernized elevators, and a four-level basement parking facility with over 1,600 slots. </p><p>The mall will also have a rainwater harvesting system with a 500-cubic-meter capacity, energy-efficient LED lighting, sensor-activated escalators, and transparent roofing in some parts. </p><p>The redesign is being led by UK-based architectural firm Benoy, which is known for its work like the Jewel in Singapore&#x27;s Changi International Airport, and the Icon Siam in Thailand.</p><p>&quot;With this redevelopment, SM Prime is reasserting its leadership in sustainable
