MANILA — The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines said several flights to Cebu have been diverted due to the closure of a runway of the Mactan Cebu International Airport.CAAP said Runway 22L of Mactan airport had been temporarily closed due to numerous Foreign Object Debris (FOD) caused by the weather.The agency said this made the runway dangerous for incoming and outgoing aircraft.Due to the closure, the following flights were diverted:GAP2375 Siargao - Mactan - Diverted to BacolodPAL1358 Gensan - Mactan- Diverted to PanglaoGAP2348 Puerto Princesa - Mactan - Diverted to BacolodGAP2996 Zamboanga - Mactan- Diverted to PanglaoAs of 6:20 p.m. Runway 22L (Main Runway) remained closed, but an alternate runway was opened, CAAP said.
