<div> </div>MANILA – Philippine Airlines will increase domestic flight frequencies starting October 2025 to meet rising travel demand during the peak holiday season, the flag carrier said on Thursday.Travel demand generally surges towards the Christmas season as Filipinos go on vacation or head to their home provinces. The airline will operate 1,154 weekly flights from Manila to destinations across Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, marking a 7 percent increase in frequency. Weekly seat capacity out of Manila will rise by over 14,000, also up 7 percent, PAL said.Key route expansions include Manila–Butuan (from 14 to 21 flights), Manila–Cagayan de Oro (35 to 42), and Manila–Tacloban (21 to 25). Flights to Legazpi (Daraga), Dumaguete, and Cotabato will also see increased frequencies.PAL will boost access to popular tourist destinations such as Siargao, Boracay and Coron. Manila–Siargao flights will operate daily, while Cebu–Siargao will run 21 times weekly. Clark–Siargao flights will be offered daily to serve travelers from Northern Metro Manila and Central Luzon.Boracay (Caticlan) will be served by 42 weekly flights from Manila and 14 from Cebu. Coron (Busuanga) will receive seven weekly flights from Manila, 14 from Clark, and 21 from Cebu.Additional services include thrice-weekly flights to Antique and four weekly flights to Catarman. From December 8 to March 28, PAL will upgrade five Manila–Iloilo flights to wide-body Airbus A330 aircraft.“These additional flights and greater seat capacity reflect PAL’s commitment to increase connectivity across the archipelago, boost the local economy, and help drive tourism across our network,” said PAL Express President Rabbi Vincent Ang.
