MANILA -- Cebu Pacific is suspending some of its routes amid soaring global fuel prices.In an advisory, Cebu Pacific said it is suspending its flights to and from Davao and Don Mueang in Bangkok from April to October. It is also suspending flights to and from Iloilo and Don Mueang during the same period.It is also suspending flights to and from Iloilo and Singapore from June to October, and Clark-Hanoi-Clark flights from May to October.It is also reducing the number of flights from Cebu to Singapore, Manila to Jakarta, Manila to Kuala Lumpur, Manila to Melbourne, and Manila to Sydney.The full schedule of affected flights can be seen below:<div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1774259035045cebpac1.jpg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/></div>Cebu Pacific said affected passengers may rebook their flights up to 30 days before or after their original flight.  They may also store the value of their fare in a travel fund or ask for a refund on their flights. Plane fares are expected to get more expensive next month as airlines have been allowed to charge higher <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/business/2026/3/17/plane-fares-rising-next-month-as-fuel-surcharges-more-than-double-1455" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">fuel surcharges</a> as oil prices continue to skyrocket. The Civil Aeronautics Board on Tuesday said it has raised the fuel surcharge level from Level 4 to Level 8 from April 1 to 15.For domestic passengers, this means surcharges of between P253 and P787, depending on the distance. This is more than double the previous Level 4 surcharges of between P117 to P342.Under the Level 8 bracket, international passengers can expect to pay between P835 and P6,209 in additional fees, depending on the distance of the destination.
