<p>MANILA -- Philippine Airlines (PAL) said Wednesday it had secured enough jet fuel supply to support its operations &quot;for the foreseeable future.&quot;</p><p>In a statement, PAL said it was working with fuel suppliers, industry partners, and the government to ensure that operations are stable and efficient in the long term.</p><p>&quot;Philippine Airlines is closely monitoring global and regional developments affecting jet fuel supply and pricing...the airline recognizes that global supply conditions remain dynamic,&quot; the flag carrier said.</p><p>Last week, the Civil Aeronautics Board <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/business/2026/3/17/plane-fares-rising-next-month-as-fuel-surcharges-more-than-double-1455" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">raised</a> the fuel surcharge level from Level 4 to Level 8 from April 1 to 15. This means surcharges of between P253 and P787 for domestic passengers, and between P835 and P6,209 for international passengers.</p><p>On Monday, budget carrier <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/business/2026/3/23/cebu-pacific-suspends-routes-cancels-flights-amid-global-fuel-price-surge-1810" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Cebu Pacific</a> said it was suspending some of its routes as global fuel prices continued to soar. </p><p>The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) has since <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/business/2026/3/24/airport-fees-to-go-lower-starting-april-1-1045" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">lowered</a> airport landing and terminal fees. Aeronautical fees for both landing and takeoff will be cut by nearly 50 percent starting April.</p><p>The passenger service charge for international travel will also be reduced to P700 from P900.
