MANILA -- Diesel prices may fall by about P8 per liter next week.Based on the first 4 days of trading at the world market, oil prices may fall by the following amounts:Gasoline - P0.40/L decrease Diesel - P8.50/L decrease Kerosene - P11/L decreasePrices may still change as there is one more trading day in the week.Oil prices have fallen in recent days following pronouncements from Washington that negotiations were moving forward to reopen the criticically important Strait of Hormuz. Oil prices however, also jumped four percent <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/world/2026/4/23/oil-prices-up-4-on-uncertain-iran-us-ceasefire-prospects-1051" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Thursday</a> after Iran vowed not to reopen the Strait of Hormuz so long as a US naval blockade remained in place despite a ceasefire extension.<div>More details to follow.</div>
