MANILA - Energy Secretary Sharon Garin said a total of 900,000 barrels of fuel are coming in the next few weeks.The delivery is part of the procurement of the Philippine National Oil Company (PNOC) to ensure ample supply for the country.&quot;Continued po iyan, PNOC still working on it week on week to procure more because we continue to consume, we need to replenish, so continued po ang replenishments,&quot; Garin said in a briefing.DOE Undersecretary Sandy Sales said the first 300,000 barrels of diesel is set to arrive on April 10. It was sourced from Malaysia through a Singaporean trader, the official added.Two more cargos are expected later this month, Sales said. &quot;Ang indication noon ay hindi pa nasettle saan manggagaling ang cargos although contracted na,&quot; he said, adding that the nominated sources are likely North Asia and India. Meanwhile, Garin said the &quot;permanent damage&quot; created by the war on the industry&#x27;s global infrastructure are likely to prolong the elevated prices. This means, rollback, if ever the war ended, wouldn&#x27;t be as fast as the increases during the last few weeks.&quot;It would take months, even years in fact years for LNG to construct or to rehabilitate... there has been damage already,&quot; she said.&quot;There is restructuring already in oil industry, if ever it goes down it will take longer, it wont be one month. Kung gaano kabilis pag akyat hindi ganon kabilis ang pagbaba, it will be way, way slower ang damage kasi ng war.... iba na epekto nya, I do not expect it to go down as fast as it went up,&quot; she added.
