BPI says cards, ATM services back up after system outage

<p>MANILA — Bank of the Philippine Islands on Friday night said it has restored some services that became temporarily unavailable due to an issue with its system.</p><p>As of 10:50 p.m. Friday, BPI said transactions using its debit cards, ATMs and CAMs (Cash Accept Machines) are restored after its services became unavailable early Friday night.</p><p>Access to the BPI app and BPI online has yet to be restored, it added.</p><p>BPI earlier announced that the BPI app and BPI online were inaccessible, while transactions using BPI debit cards, ATMs and CAMs also became unavailable as of 6 p.m. Friday.</p><p>The company did not give any reason behind the problem, but gave the assurance that they were working on it.</p><div><iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fbpi%2Fposts%2Fpfbid0Yv7eBLFiAe9oea7bSyrnuaUmtiF22VwcXkg47ySKoEvQi3UYPmP78y9vdBtH1dBCl&amp;show_text=true&amp;width=500" width="500" height="660" style="border:none;overflow:hidden" scrolling="no" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div>
