MANILA – Tech giant Google on Tuesday unveiled an artificial intelligence upgrade for its Gemini application, aiming to transform online shopping from a digital &quot;chore&quot; into an interactive, intuitive experience.The update allows users to bypass traditional search methods by engaging in natural conversations. &quot;Describe what you’re looking for just as you’d say it to a friend, and get a thorough response — with accurate shopping data you can trust,&quot; Google said in a statement.The integration brings advanced e-commerce functionality directly into user chats, consolidating product listings, price comparisons, and inventory availability from across the web. Google said the system dynamically tailors its output based on the user&#x27;s intent. A budget-conscious query like &quot;birthday gift ideas for my dad who is into the NBA, my budget is P2000&quot; will trigger an image carousel, the tech giant said. Meanwhile, a request to compare luggage options will generate a detailed technical grid.&quot;When you ask Gemini a shopping question, you’ll get an intelligently organized response that brings together rich visuals and all the details you need,&quot; the company noted.To ensure accuracy, the AI features are backed by Google’s massive Shopping Graph, a database containing more than 60 billion product listings, two billion of which are updated every hour, the company added. By linking its latest AI models with this real-time data engine, the tech firm promises to eliminate endless scrolling and tab switching, allowing consumers to &quot;shop with confidence, save time and money, and have fun along the way!&quot;The feature rolls out globally starting this week.
