<div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:960px;display:block" width="960"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1784196098197749354527_1457039106448811_5219917982733437220_n.jpg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. meets with officials of the ABC Impact, Ayala Group, and Temasek Trust during his 3-day visit in Singapore. <em>Presidential Communications Office/Facebook</em></span></span></span>MANILA — Several Singaporean firms are looking to broaden their investments in the Philippines in the fields of health, communications and technology, the Malacañang said on Thursday, hours before President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. concluded his 3-day visit in Southeast Asia’s lone first world country.</div><p>Marcos and Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong met at the Istana where they discussed business opportunities for both countries, particularly in the fields of artificial intelligence, health and nation building, Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro said in a Palace briefing.</p><p>“Kabilang din sa napagkasunduan ng dalawang lider ang pagpapanatili ng kapayapaan, katatagan, at kaunlaran sa ASEAN,” Castro said, noting that the Philippines would soon turn over the chairmanship of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) to Singapore.</p><p>“Sa kanilang meeting, nagpaabot ng pagbati si Prime Minister Wong kay Pangulong Marcos Jr. sa pag-angat ng Pilipinas bilang Upper Middle Income Country,” she said.</p><p>“Ayon sa Prime Minister, maituturing na respectable growth o matatag na pag-unlad ng Pilipinas ang pagiging Upper Middle Income Country sa likod ng mga pagsubok dulot ng kaguluhan sa Middle East,” she added.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/7/15/marcos-meets-with-singapore-pm-wong-during-working-visit-1827">Marcos meets with Singapore PM Wong during working visit</a></div><p>Marcos also met with officials of the ABC Impact, Ayala Group, and Temasek Trust to encourge them to do more business in the health sector, the Palace official said.</p><p>“Layunin nitong mapalawak ang mga ospital, klinika, botika at iba pang serbisyong medikal sa Pilipinas upang mas maraming Pilipino ang magkaroon ng abot-kaya at dekalidad na healthcare system habang lumilikha ng libo-libong trabaho sa bansa,” she said.</p><p>“Matapos nito, sunod na nakipagpulong ang Pangulo sa mga kinatawan ng Singtel Group na matagal nang namumuhunan sa Pilipinas simula pa noong 1993 ngunit ngayo’y nangangakong palalawigin pa ang investment sa digital infrastructure sa bansa,” she said.</p><p>“Kabilang sa mga plano ng pagpapalawak ng mga data center at iba pang digital facilities na inaasahang makakapagpahusay sa internet connectivity, lilikha ng mas maraming trabaho at magpapasigla sa ekonomiya ng Pilipinas,” she added.</p><p>In his engagement with business leaders in Singapore, Marcos underscored the Philippines “remains committed to creating a stable, competitive and investment-friendly environment,” the Palace said in a separate statement.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>RELATED VIDEO:</strong></div><div style="text-align:center"><iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/jL0nIRLW088?si=pdqH6-3yohUTuSaK" title="YouTube video player" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div>
