Transport group renews call for P23 minimum fare, scrapping of oil taxes

He added that drivers now need to earn about P4,600 just to cover fuel costs and boundary payments.</p><p>&quot;Usapin pa lang krudo at boundary, kailangan na namin ng P4,600, abonado pa kami ng P1,850, at halos wala na kaming nauuwi sa aming pamilya,&quot; Floranda said.</p><p>Aside from fuel prices, Floranda said the rising cost of vehicle parts also factored into the group&#x27;s fare hike petition.</p><p>&quot;Hanggat di nagkakaroon ng pagbaba ng piyesa, simpleng turnilyo lang ay nagkakahalaga ng 45 pesos hanggang 50. Kapag kami ay nag-overhaul ng aming makina ay naglalaro na sa 80 to 90,000 pesos,&quot; he added.</p><p>The group renewed its call for the repeal or suspension of the Oil Deregulation Law.</p><p>PISTON said it is also preparing for a possible transport strike, although no specific dates have been set.</p><div></div>
