<p>MANILA — Filipino fast food chain Jollibee is set to finally open in San Francisco in the United States after years of delays.</p><p>San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie announced on his social media pages that Jollibee will open on July 31, 2026 – the city’s first Jollibee store after the first one closed in 2011. Selected initially by industry experts, final rankings were decided by public vote.  </p><p>“Receiving this recognition for the third consecutive year is especially meaningful because it reflects the consistency of the quality, taste, and customer experience that we work hard to deliver with every serving in Chickenjoy,” Ernesto Tanmantiong, Jollibee Group Global President and CEO said in a statement.  </p><p>The award builds on previous accolades for the brand, including top fried chicken honors from culinary and lifestyle outlets such as Eater.com in 2022 and Thrillist in 2021, Jollibee said.</p><p>With around 100 locations across North America and over 1,800 worldwide, Jollibee continues to leverage its popular menu to accelerate its international expansion.  </p><p>The Jollibee Group is expanding in the US with over 75 branches in 14 states. It plans to have 350 stores across North America, including Canada in the near term.</p><p>Last year, it launched the franchising program in the US to expand the presence of Jollibee in the country.</p><p>The company reported that the average gross sales of Jollibee stores in the US in 2023 hit $4.3 million.</p>
