<div> </div>MANILA— The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) has partnered with digital bank GoTyme to streamline and secure account openings using the country&#x27;s national identification system, officials said Tuesday.GoTyme said the integration of the National ID Authentication Services (NIDAS) allows the company to perform real-time identity verification through its mobile app and self-service kiosks, boosting security and accelerating onboarding.The digital bank said it has crossed the 10-million customer milestone, with over half of its active accounts opened using the National ID system.PSA Assistant Secretary Rosalinda P. Bautista commended the digital lender’s role in promoting financial accessibility.&quot;Through this integration, GoTyme strengthens its ability to provide a seamless and secure customer experience, while contributing to the broader goal of expanding financial inclusion,” Asec. Bautista said.GoTyme Bank Chief Strategy Officer Shern Whey Teo described the initiative as pivotal to national development.“What PSA has built with the National ID isn&#x27;t just a government project. It is nation-building,&quot; Teo said. &quot;Today, over 90 million Filipinos already hold the most powerful key to financial access this country has ever created through the National ID. Our responsibility is to make sure that key opens doors: to a bank account, to savings, to credit, and ultimately, to greater financial freedom,” Teo added.Chief Information Officer Maria Paz Gilda Puno said the company&#x27;s partnership with the PSA aims to reduce onboarding friction, while making its own boarding faster and more secure for customers.
