MANILA — More than 32 million passengers passed through the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) in the first half of 2026, more than half of its total passenger traffic of 60 million the previous year.PITX chief operating officer Mohit Malhi said in a statement that the 32.45 million passengers accommodated by June &quot;demonstrate the growing confidence of commuters and transport operators in PITX as the country’s premier transport gateway.&quot;PITX links city buses, provincial buses, modern jeepneys, and rail systems and has opened new routes to Laoag in Ilocos Norte, Lagangilang in Abra, and Sta. Ana in Cagayan. These are expected to support tourism, facilitate trade, and boost economic opportunities for local communities.PITX operates 32 city routes and 80 provincial routes.
