MANILA — ACMobility and Shell Pilipinas have officially opened eight new electric vehicle (EV) charging hubs across strategic Shell Mobility stations, expanding EV charging access beyond Metro Manila.The latest hubs went online this month are: <ul style="list-style-type:disc"><li id="isPasted">Shell Mexico NLEX Northbound, Pampanga</li><li>Shell Mexico NLEX Southbound, Pampanga</li><li>Shell North Expressway Dau, Pampanga</li><li>Shell Subic, Zambales</li><li>Shell Mangaldan, Pangasinan</li><li>Shell Tanaytay Alaminos, Pangasinan </li><li>Shell Bago Aplaya Talomo, Davao City</li><li>Shell Matina Enclaves, Davao City</li></ul><div> </div>The Ayala-led EV firm said the rollout follows a partnership inked in September 2025 aimed at building the &quot;Philippine EV Spine&quot; by equipping key highway locations with DC fast chargers to enable long-distance EV travel across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.“As we ramp up our efforts to build the Philippine EV Spine, we are grateful to have Shell as our partner in advancing the country towards sustainable mobility,” said Carla Buencamino, ACMobility Head of Mobility Infrastructure. “Through our partnership, we’re making EV charging accessible along major thoroughfares that link key destinations.”Shell Mobility&#x27;s Non-Fuel Retail and E-Mobility Manager Jolo Valdez added: “By combining our complementary strengths, we’ll be able to serve the country’s growing community of EV drivers.”The two companies plan to scale the initiative to 50 Shell locations featuring over 100 charge points nationwide, with upcoming sites slated for Cavite, Batangas, and Cebu. All stations are integrated into ACMobility’s Evro app, allowing drivers to locate points and pay digitally. ACMobility’s total network now exceeds 200 charging locations as of July 2026.
