MANILA—The Home Development Mutual Fund also known as the Pag-IBIG Fund said its members saved over P100 billion in the first six months of 2026.Pag-IBIG Fund Public and Member Relations Group Vice President Jack Jacinto said most of the savings came from voluntary contributions. “Sa katunayan po, sa unang anim na buwan ng taon ay lumagpas sa 100 bilyong piso na po ang pinagkatiwala ng ating mga miyembro. Ibig sabihin, susi po ito para maging sustainable ang pagpapaikot ng pondo para hindi lamang natin mapanatili ang mababang interes kundi mas marami pa ho sa ating mga kababayan ang makikinabang sa Pag-IBIG housing loan oras na sila po ay magdesisyon na bumili po ng sarili nilang bahay,” the official stated. These factors make housing loans sustainable, according to Jacinto. He also reiterated that Pag-IBIG fund increased its maximum housing loan limit to ₱10 million, which he said is in line with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directive to help more Filipinos acquire houses through affordable financing. <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/business/2026/7/21/pag-ibig-posts-double-digit-housing-loan-growth-in-first-half-of-2026-1130"> </a><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/business/2026/7/21/pag-ibig-posts-double-digit-housing-loan-growth-in-first-half-of-2026-1130">Pag-IBIG posts double-digit housing loan growth in first half of 2026</a></div>“Ito pong pagsasataas natin ng housing loan limit kada miyembro ay akmang-akma po naman sa pangangailangan ng middle class,” the official noted.Jacinto also assured that socialized housing loans will continue, in which first-time buyers of socialized housing unit can avail of 3% subsidized rate per month.“Ibig sabihin po, ang isang unit na ang halaga ay P950,000, maaari po ‘yang ipasok sa Pag-IBIG housing loan at babayaran lang ng miyembro kada buwan ay P4,000 a month, kadalasan mas mababa pa sa renta,” he said.
