MANILA — San Miguel Corporation on Monday informed the Philippine Stock Exchange that Chairman and CEO Ramon Ang informed the company regarding his acquisition of shares in Lopez Inc. In a disclosure, SMC said Ang informed the corporate secretary that he has acquired shares of Lopez Inc from Eugenio &quot;Gabby&quot; Lopez III.Ang has executed a &quot;Deed of Assignment&quot; for the purchase of Creme Investment Corporation&#x27;s 25.68 percent outstanding and issued shares of Lopez Inc &quot;in his personal capacity through Ilumina Investment Holdings Inc,&quot; SMC said.Members of the Board of Directors of the company will be informed of the details of the transaction by Ang during the scheduled meeting on Aug. 13, SMC said.Creme Investment Corporation earlier confirmed the deal, calling Ang a &quot;good partner&quot; to Lopez Inc.Meanwhile, ABS-CBN Corp said in a separate disclosure that it does not foresee any impact on its business, financial condition, operations, or ownership structure as a result of the transaction.Lopez Inc is the parent company of ABS-CBN News.
