<p>MANILA -- Ayala Corporation saw its net income slide 7 percent to P22.1 billion in the first half of 2026, as lower net income from Ayala Land hurt earnings growth from other units.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/business/2026/8/10/ayala-land-posts-lower-net-income-amid-challenging-2026-2343" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Ayala Land posts lower net income amid ‘challenging’ 2026</a></div><p>Ayala Land&#x27;s net income fell 19 percent to P11.5 billion, as the Middle East conflict drove fuel prices and overall inflation upward.</p><p>Leasing and hospitality revenues climbed 9 percent to P25.2 billion--shopping mall revenues climbed 4 percent to P12 billion, office leasing revenues inched up 2 percent to P6 billion, and hotels and resorts revenues soared 28 percent to P6.3 billion.</p><p>But property development revenues fell 22 percent to P41 billion amid geopolitical issues.</p><p>Telco giant Globe&#x27;s core net income, meanwhile, slipped 2 percent to P10.2 billion as gross service revenues were offset by higher non-operating charges. Gross service revenues reached a record-high P85.4 billion because of strong demand for data-related services.</p><p>Meanwhile, BPI, the Ayala group&#x27;s banking arm, saw net income stay flat at P32.8 billion as strong revenue growth was hit by higher operating expenses. Interest income grew as loans increased by 12 percent to P2.7 trillion, but operating expenses climbed 14 percent to driven by manpower, technology, and business development-related costs.</p><p>Ayala Corp&#x27;s energy arm AC Energy, however, saw net income jump 21 percent to P4.2 billion because of higher generation output.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/business/2026/4/24/ayala-corp-still-optimistic-on-growth-despite-global-headwinds-1647" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Ayala Corp still optimistic on growth despite global headwinds</a></div>
