<p>MANILA — PLDT&#x27;s core income in the first half of 2026 was steady at P17.3 billion as Maya&#x27;s profitability helped lift earnings numbers.</p><p>In a statement, PLDT said that as of June, Maya has P86 billion in deposit balances, soaring by 71 percent year-on-year, and P39 billion in loan balances, up 56 percent year-on-year. It also accounted for 53 percent of point-of-sale (POS) terminals nationwide as of December 2025. </p><p>PLDT did not give specific details on Maya&#x27;s income, but noted that profitability was sustained.  </p><p>PLDT&#x27;s telco core income, however, fell 2 percent to P16.6 billion in the first half, from P17 billion in the same period last year. Wireless consumer business revenues were relatively flat at P42.1 billion, while PLDT Home revenues dipped by 1 percent to P30 billion. </p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/business/2026/5/15/maya-enterprise-help-lift-pldt-1444" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Maya, enterprise help lift PLDT</a></div><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/business/2026/2/26/maya-lifts-pldt-s-core-income-in-2025-1640" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Maya lifts PLDT&#x27;s core income in 2025</a></div><p>PLDT said gross service revenues grew by 2 percent to P108.7 billion, as the company&#x27;s enterprise arm saw its revenues grow 5 percent to P24.8 billion.</p><p>“Growth remains measured, but we are optimistic that the second half of the year will be better, as we build on our momentum and focus on executing with discipline,&quot; said PLDT chairman and chief executive officer Manuel Pangilinan.</p>
