Darylle Sarmiento, ABS-CBN News</div>MANILA — The Director of the Department of Labor and Employment-National Capital Region (DOLE-NCR) hit a Pasig City court&#x27;s writ of preliminary injunction on the implementation of the P85 minimum wage increase in Metro Manila.<div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/8/13/labor-groups-denounce-alleged-injunction-order-vs-ncr-wage-hike-2056" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Pasig court issues preliminary injunction vs NCR wage hike</a></div>&quot;Ang pagbibigay ng preliminary injunction ay hindi katanggap-tanggap sa amin,&quot; said Atty. Sarah Buena Mirasol, regional director for DOLE-NCR. &quot;Paninindigan po natin na ang ating wage order ay sumunod po kami sa proseso, kasama na po lahat ng consultation at public hearing, at ating ginawa po ayon sa batas,&quot; she stressed.Citing Article 126 of the Labor Code, Mirasol said that no preliminary or permanent injunction or temporary restraining order may be issued by any court against any proceedings before the Commission or the Regional Boards.&quot;Nakalagay naman po sa Labor Code under Article 126, hindi pupuwede in any proceeding kasama na ang implementation ng wage order, yun ang paninindigan namin na hindi pupuwedeng i-review ng judiciary.&quot;&quot;Under the Wage Rationalization Act, hindi po pwede manghimasok ang hudikatura sa pagre-review po ng aming wage order. Ito po ay exclusively lodged sa (Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board),&quot; she said.&quot;Kami po ay naniniwala na ang any remedy against the wage order should be with the (National Wages and Productivity Commission).
