<div> </div>MANILA — ABS-CBN continues its path toward financial recovery, reporting increased revenues and narrowing losses driven by successful content partnerships and the global breakout of its artists, its President and CEO Carlo L. Katigbak said on Wednesday.During the company&#x27;s Annual Stockholders’ Meeting, Katigbak outlined a revitalized financial structure. Excluding SkyCable, ABS-CBN generated P12.6 billion in revenues in 2025—its highest since losing its broadcast franchise in 2020. The company also slashed general and manpower expenses by 54 percent and reduced its outstanding debt by 58 percent to just under P8.5 billion compared to pre-franchise levels. Consolidated net losses, including SkyCable, improved by 23 percent to P4.72 billion in 2025.Addressing the challenging transition from a traditional broadcaster to a content creator, Katigbak framed the struggle as a test of their core mission.“These are not normal times for your company. We have been through one crisis after another, most of them existential in nature. Yet to me, this period in our history is a defining moment, not just for those of us who work here, but also for you, our co-shareholders,” Katigbak said. “It is a chance to decide whether ‘In the Service of the Filipino’ was just a compelling slogan that served us well in good times, or if it is the genuine reason for our existence, proven because we embraced it in impossible times.”The strategy is already paying off on the global stage, the company said. BINI reached 2 billion streams, performed at Coachella, and secured a soundtrack deal with DreamWorks Animation. Meanwhile, its digital productions—such as the Amazon Prime mini-series The Silent Noise and Netflix’s Sosyal Climbers—bagged international awards and topped global charts. ASAP also had two sold-out shows in Canada last year.Locally, its cinematic releases dominated the 2025 box office with P900 million in combined earnings.Katigbak added that &#x27;It&#x27;s Showtime&#x27; and &#x27;Batang Quiapo&#x27; led in their respective TV timeslots, while ABS-CBN broke new ground with the highly successful PBB collaboration with GMA. The Halalan 2025 marathon coverage drew 8 million combined livestream views, the largest online viewership for the election coverage.With public service as a constant mission, the ABS-CBN Foundation, despite its radically reduced size, assisted almost 30,000 families affected by natural disasters.  “We recognize that we are not yet where we need to be. And while this has no doubt been a difficult chapter in ABS-CBN’s history, we continue to believe with complete confidence that the momentum you are seeing will carry us through to profitability. Our revenues are recovering. Our cost base is significantly lower. Our debt is reduced. And our losses continue to narrow,” Katigbak said. “We no longer depend on owning platforms to reach audiences, instead building partnerships that would have once seemed impossible. We create stories that matter to Filipinos, and are proving that Filipino stories and talent can compete in the global stage. This is a new ABS-CBN that we are building, faithful to our mission of public service, but adapting to a different time and circumstance. Our next chapter will be about proving that ABS-CBN can rebuild a company strong enough to serve the Filipino for generations to come,&quot; he added.
