Handout </div>MANILA – South Korean tech giant LG Electronics announced Wednesday a deepening partnership with US chip titan NVIDIA, unveiling a massive new &quot;Data Factory&quot; in Seoul designed to train the next generation of physical artificial intelligence.The 10,000-square-meter facility, scheduled to be fully operational by the end of 2026, will house hundreds of machines practicing complex tasks in specialized environments. In one replicated home setting, LG&#x27;s CLOiD robots will repeatedly learn domestic cleaning routines. In another, modeled after a Tennessee washing machine plant, units will practice moving, stacking, and assembling industrial parts.By combining real-world physical repetitions with NVIDIA&#x27;s simulation technologies, LG aims to generate 100,000 hours of training data—the equivalent of 12 years of learning—by year-end.The rapid push follows a strategic memorandum of understanding signed by the two companies at NVIDIA&#x27;s California headquarters last week. Having designated 2026 as the launchpad for its robotics ambitions, LG recently established a dedicated Robotics Business Center to accelerate its expansion from industrial logistics into the consumer home market.Using NVIDIA&#x27;s Cosmos open world models and Isaac platforms, LG plans to build a continuous &quot;data flywheel&quot; to rapidly advance its Robot Foundation Model, which underpins humanoid machine performance.&quot;Through the synergy built on ‘One LG’ – bringing together core capabilities across the Group – and strategic collaboration with global partners, we will secure our competitiveness in physical AI and become a comprehensive robotics solutions provider,&quot; said Lyu Jae-cheol, CEO of LG Electronics.
