Meralco said more than a thousand of these remaining outages are in Metro Manila, Cavite, and Bulacan.</p><p>&quot;Our crews and personnel continue to work tirelessly to complete power restoration to the remaining customers,&quot; said Meralco head of corporate communications Joe Zaldarriaga.</p><p>An estimated <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/8/29/eight-million-affected-by-habagat-recent-tropical-cyclones-ndrrmc-1248" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">eight million</a> people across the Philippines have been affected by the enhanced southwest monsoon or habagat, as well as tropical cyclones Luis, Maymay, and Neneng, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/weather-traffic/2026/8/31/pilandok-two-other-weather-disturbances-enhance-habagat-0809" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Pilandok, two other weather disturbances enhance Habagat</a></div>
