MANILA &mdash; &nbsp;Parts of Visayas may be hit by rotational brownouts on Thursday, September 3, according to the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP).The NGCP said it may implement manual load dropping in the following areas.&nbsp;<ul><li>10 A.M TO 11 P.M. LEYECO II</li><li>SOLECO</li><li>DORELCO</li><li>LEYECO III</li><li>LEYECO IV</li><li>LEYECO V</li><li>ESAMELCO</li><li>BILECO</li><li>NORSAMELCO</li><li>SAMELCO I</li><li>SAMELCO II</li><li>BOHECO II</li></ul><div> </div>The Visayas grid is on Red Alert from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m., and on Yellow Alert from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m.The NGCP said this is because two of its large coal-powered plants, Therma Visayas Inc. 1 and Panay Energy Development Corporation 3, were out. There are also no power imports from Mindanao.Mindanao itself will be on Red and Yellow Alerts. The Red Alert is in effect from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m., while Yellow Alert is in effect from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m.Mindanao&#39;s large coal plants, the GNPower Kauswagan 1 and 2 and Therma South 2, were also out.
