<p>MANILA &mdash; Inflation in August slowed from the previous month, the Philippine Statistics Authority said on Friday.&nbsp;</p><p>Headline inflation reached 6.1 percent in August, slower than the 6.2 percent clip in July, the PSA said.&nbsp;</p><p>This was within the 5.5 to 6.5 percent forecast range of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.&nbsp;</p><p>The BSP hiked interest rates again in its last policy-setting meeting last month citing the persistent threat of rising oil prices on the country&#39;s inflation rate.&nbsp;</p><div><br></div><div><em>More details to follow.</em></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><em>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</em></div>
