MANILA -- Parts of Visayas may experience rotational brownouts on Friday, September 4, as the region continues to grapple with lower power supply.&nbsp;The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) said the following areas are affected:<div>1 p.m. to 10 p.m.</div>VECOMECOCEBECO ICEBECO IICEBECO IIINEPCNOCECONORECO INORECO IINONECOMOREAKELCOANTECOCAPELCOILECO IILECO IIILECO IIIGUIMELCOBLCIBOHECO I<div>5 p.m. to 10 p.m.</div>LEYECO IISOLECODORELCOLEYECO IIILEYECO IVLEYECO VESAMELCOBILECONORSAMELCOSAMELCO ISAMELCO IIBOHECO IIThe Visayas grid is on Red Alert from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m., and on Yellow Alert from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., and from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m.&nbsp;The NGCP said rotational brownouts need to be implemented because of limited power generation in Visayas--the large coal-powered plants Therma Visayas Inc. 1 and Panay Energy Development Corporation 3 are out.The Panay Diesel Power Plant 3 &ndash; Engine E and Engine H and Central Negros Power Reliability, Inc. &ndash; Unit 2 are also out. The Leyte-A Maha B and Cebu Energy Development Corporation Unit 1 plants also tripped.The NGCP also said there are no power imports from Mindanao, which is itself on Red Alert from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., and on Yellow Alert from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m.Mindanao&#39;s large coal plants, the GNPower Kauswagan 1 and 2 and Therma South 2, are unavailable.
