MANILA &mdash; Christmas may still be months away, but the holiday shopping spirit is already starting to make its way into the busy streets of Divisoria.Despite the rain, shoppers continued to flock to the popular shopping district on the first Friday of September, looking for affordable finds that could double as gifts for family and friends.For those working with a tight budget, there are plenty of options priced at P100 or less.Among the more personalized finds are embroidered caps, which shoppers can have customized with names at no additional cost. The caps are priced at P100.Personalized fans are also available for around P50 to P60, while face towels and handkerchiefs cost between P20 and P50 apiece, depending on their size.Budget-conscious shoppers can also find affordable footwear. Rubber shoes and slippers for teenagers are being sold for around P50, while doll shoes for children are available for as little as P20.With the rainy season still bringing occasional downpours, umbrellas are another practical gift option. Medium and large umbrellas are both available for P100.For sports enthusiasts, shoppers can choose from Dri-Fit shirts priced at P35, as well as jerseys and tank tops costing P50 to P60 each. Some stalls also offer shorts at three pieces for P100.Those looking for more traditional gift items can choose from perfumes priced at around P100 and men&rsquo;s wallets ranging from P80 to P100.Small bags are also available for P100, while hair accessories start at P10, with prices varying depending on the design and quantity.Vendors said their selection will change as the Christmas season approaches, with new stocks expected to arrive in November to cater to holiday shoppers.
