<p>LAGUNA — The town of Pakil in Laguna has been placed under a state of emergency due to a continued rise in dengue cases.</p><p>On Monday, the Sangguniang Bayan approved Mayor Vince Soriano’s request to declare a state of emergency to expedite the local government’s response in curbing the spread of dengue.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/health-science/2025/4/3/dengue-outbreak-possible-this-year-warns-doh-1137">Dengue outbreak possible this year, warns DOH</a></div><p>&quot;Mapapabilis &#x27;yung purchases namin ng mga additional na gamit katulad ng misting at fogging machines at saka &#x27;yung mga chemicals na kailangan para sa paglaban sa mga lamok na may dala-dalang sakit na dengue,” Soriano said.</p><p>According to local government records, two children — aged 5 and 7 — have died from dengue.
