MANILA - UP Manila, the Philippines’ premier health sciences institution, ranks in the top 7.9% of universities worldwide, according to the 2025 Global 2000 list released by the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR) on June 2.

The university secured the 1,677th spot out of 21,462 institutions globally, reaffirming its status as the country’s highest-ranked university in this cycle.

UP Manila earned an overall score of 67.4, with notable strengths in graduate employability (ranked 1,047th globally) and research performance (1,607th). Regionally, it placed 646th among Asian universities, outperforming institutions such as Hainan Medical University (China), University of Peradeniya (Sri Lanka), and Kyorin University (Japan).
