Sinabihan mo ako saan kukunin ang pera. Pinakita mo ang mukha ng tao doon sa video message mo,” Duterte said. </p><p>“You sent me written instructions about money, millions a month. Anong nakalagay sa envelope? Department of Education. Ano ginawa ko? Binigay ko sa DepEd. P***** ina mo ka!” she said. </p><p>“Wala ka ngang posisyon sa gobyerno, namimigay ka ng pera ng gobyerno,” she said. </p><p>Duterte’s rage against the Marcos family was triggered after the House of Representatives pushed to transfer Zuleika Lopez, the vice president’s chief of staff, to a correctional facility from her detention area in the Batasang Pambansa.</p><div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2024/11/23/vp-duterte-blocks-house-order-to-transfer-chief-of-staff-to-mandaluyong-0907">VP Duterte blocks House order to transfer chief-of-staff to Mandaluyong</a> </div><p>The second-in-command, who earlier refused to leave the House of Representatives while her staff is still in detention, slammed the Marcoses for politically persecuting the Office of the Vice President after she she resigned from the administration. </p><p>“Sisirain ninyo yung mga pangalan ng kasama ko sa Office of the Vice President? Sasabihin ninyo sa mga tao nakaw &#x27;yan, confidential funds &#x27;yan, ni wala nga kayong isang proof na confidential funds yan,” Duterte said. </p><p>“Hindi niyo nga nilabas na wala pang confidential funds, mayroon nang white envelope kasi 2022 pa lang, t*** *** mo ka, may utos na pera sa DepEd,” she said, without clarifying what the money was for.</p><div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/2024/11/20/solon-flags-ovp-deped-receipts-under-same-name-but-with-different-signatures-1958">Solon flags OVP, DepEd receipts under same name but with ‘different’ signatures</a> </div><p>Earlier this year, several former and current DepEd officials told lawmakers that they have been receiving envelopes with thousands of pesos in cash every month during Duterte’s tenure as Education chief. </p><p>The Vice President earlier challenged a former Department of Education official to present documents to prove her claim that the former Education Secretary was handing out envelopes with money. </p><p>“Dapat siguro kung mag-akusa siya ng ganiyan may papel siya,” Duterte said in a press conference in September when asked about the claim of a certain Gloria Mercado who used to work for the DepEd. </p><p>“Gloria Mercado is a disgruntled former employee of the DepEd. She was let go because of loss of trust and confidence sa office of the Secretary,” she said. “Hindi lang siguro niya matanggap na kasalanan niya bakit siya pinalayas sa DepEd.” </p><p>Duterte also accused President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and his wife of pilfering campaign funds, claiming that it was Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez who told her this while they were on a plane during the campaign. </p><p>“Martin, nangangampaniya tayo, nakasakay tayo sa eroplano, nagrereklamo ka, p***** *** ka, walang pera kasi ano sabi mo? Ginigipit nila, kinukuha nila ang pera. Reklamo ka ng reklamo sa akin. Ano sinabi ko sa iyo?
