For the first time, media were given a peek into the sprawling Philippine Offshore Gaming Operation (POGO) hub in what was once Island Cove in Kawit, Cavite. Aside from office buildings, the area includes facilities such as restaurants and water and laundry stations. Local Government Secretary Jonvic Remulla, whose family once owned the resort area, inspected the now-closed campus.

Bearing the cost of shuttering the POGO hub, however, are local workers who lost jobs at Christmas as the government implement's President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s order to end POGO operations in the Philippines.
