<div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/173528162356320241220_Impeachment BBM.png" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><div><br/></div><p>Hindi totoong naghain ng impeachment complaint si Bise Presidente Sara Duterte o sinuman laban kay Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. Hindi rin totoong “inaprubahan” at “inaksyunan” na ito ng Korte Suprema.</p><p>Sa mga posts na kumakalat sa YouTube, Facebook, at Tiktok, sinasabing mayroong impeachment complaint na inihain laban kay Marcos na tinatawag nilang “Kuting Jr.” Hindi tinukoy kung sino ang naghain ng reklamo sa ilang post, habang sa iba naman ay sinasabing inihain ito ni Duterte.</p><p>Bukod pa rito, sinasabi ng ilang post na diumano’y inaprubahan na at sinimulan nang imbestigahan o pag-aralan ng Korte Suprema ang naturang reklamo na layong patalsikin si Marcos dahil sa “katiwalian,” “pang-aabuso ng kapangyarihan,” at “paglabag sa Konstitusyon.”</p><p>Dagdag pa sa ibang post, ibinunyag diumano ng ilang retiradong opisyal ng Philippine Military Academy (PMA) ang mga “kahina-hinalang transaksyon at desisyon” at mga “iregularidad” ng administrasyong Marcos, at handa umano ang ilan sa mga ito na tumestigo.</p><p>Puno ng maling impormasyon ang mga post na ito.</p><p>Una, walang nakabinbing impeachment complaint na inihain sa Kamara laban kay Marcos. Wala ring naiulat sa media na naghain o maghahain si Duterte ng anumang impeachment complaint laban kay Marcos.</p><p>Pangalawa, malinaw na nakasaad sa <a href="https://www.officialgazette.gov.ph/constitutions/1987-constitution/#:~:text=SECTION%203.%20(1)%20The%20House%20of%20Representatives%20shall%20have%20the%20exclusive%20power%20to%20initiate%20all%20cases%20of%20impeachment." rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>Section 3, Article XI ng 1987 Philippine Constitution</strong></a> na ang House of Representatives lang ang tanging institusyon na pwedeng magpasimula ng impeachment — hindi ang Korte Suprema. Pwedeng manggaling ang complaint mula mismo sa mga kongresista o sa kahit sinong mamamayang may endorso ng isang miyembro ng Kamara.</p><p>Pangatlo, batay din sa Konstitusyon, ang Senado lang ang may tanging kapangyarihan na maglitis at magpasya sa lahat ng kaso ng impeachment — hindi ang Korte Suprema.</p><p>Pang-apat, walang basehan ang sinasabi sa posts na may mga retired PMA official na naiulat na “lumutang” para tumestigo laban kay Marcos. Walang ganitong balita mula sa mga pangunahing media outlet.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>IMPEACHMENT COMPLAINTS VS DUTERTE</strong></div><div><br/></div><p>Ipinakalat ang mga maling impormasyon sa gitna ng mga impeachment complaint na inihain sa Kamara laban kay Duterte.</p><p>Noong Disyembre 2, inihain ng civil society groups at mga pamilya ng drug war victims ang unang impeachment complaint na inendorso ni Akbayan Party-list Rep. Percival Cendana.
