<p>MANILA -- Amid criticisms over re-electionist Senator Ramon Revilla, Jr&#x27;s placement and number in the ballots, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) clarified the lawmaker changed his surname in 2009 hence his name appears as &quot;Bong Revilla, Ramon Jr.&quot;</p><p>The Comelec said there was a decision from the Cavite Regional Trial Court in 2009 granting his prayer to change his surname to Bong Revilla. </p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/1/23/comelec-ballot-printing-to-restart-on-jan-24-1300">Comelec: Ballot printing to restart on Jan.24</a></div><p>Comelec chairman George Garcia said the Office of Solicitor General did not oppose then.</p><p>The same name was also used during the 2019 elections.</p><p>“May RTC decision po ng 2009 granting his petition to change name.
