Romeo Brawner Jr. said Thursday. </p><p>This, as 2025 elections draw near, and the call to the Philippine military to &quot;correct the fractured governance&quot; of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. from Former President Rodrigo Duterte intensified last year&#x27;s political tension.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2024/11/27/-hindi-kami-puro-bobo-dun-ex-afp-chief-spurns-duterte-call-for-military-action-1037">&#x27;Hindi kami puro bobo dun&#x27;: Ex-AFP chief spurns Duterte call for military action</a></div><p>In a press conference at the Philippine National Police (PNP) Command Center, Camp Crame in Quezon City, Brawner eased worries  on military&#x27;s loyalty under the Marcos administration, saying a coup is not a solution to societal issues. </p><p>He instead encouraged Filipinos to &quot;trust in the democratic process&quot; and use the upcoming midterm elections to materialize their hopes and express their concerns.</p><p>&quot;Maraming mga problema ang ating bayan, minsan ang naiisip na lang nilang solusyon ay ang military kudeta or military junta. Hindi po ito ang solusyon,” he said.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2024/12/4/afp-intel-chief-assures-no-coup-plot-to-worry-about-amid-marcos-duterte-rift-1802">AFP intel chief assures no coup plot to worry about amid Marcos-Duterte rift</a></div><p>The AFP chief believes that elections must be &quot;the focal point&quot; to create change.</p><p>&quot;Our call to the people is to use this election as a platform to express our desires by voting for the right individuals who will serve the country and our society,&quot;  Brawner stressed.</p><div><strong>&#x27;VOTING IN 2025 ELECTIONS WITHOUT FEAR&#x27;</strong></div><p>The press conference, presided by Commission on Elections (Comelec) Chairperson Erwin Garcia, served as an avenue for the AFP, Comelec, and the Philippine National Police (PNP) to reaffirm their vow in ensuring safe and orderly process for the upcoming elections in the national and local levels, as well as in Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).</p><p>PNP Chief Police Gen.
