<p>MANILA — President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. on Wednesday lambasted critics who said the investigation by the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) would eventually lead to Malacañang’s doorstep, saying these are part of efforts to remove him as the country’s leader. </p><p>Asked by Palace reporters what he thinks about assertions the probe would eventually be traced to Malacañang since Marcos Jr. signed the budget and his allies are being dragged into the controversy, he said: “I know what we did or did not do.”</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/10/14/bato-on-flood-control-probe-kalokohan-kapag-papunta-sa-duterte-1411"><strong>Bato on direction of flood control probe: &#x27;Kalokohan kapag papunta sa Duterte&#x27;</strong></a></div><p>Sweeping accusations have been made at the House and Senate — where hearings have either been terminated or put on hold — and have been cast against officials linked to Marcos Jr. and to his erstwhile ally Vice President Sara Duterte.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/10/8/ici-seeks-ilbo-vs-escudero-romualdez-other-officials-tagged-in-flood-control-mess-1243"><strong>DOJ OKs lookout order vs Escudero, Romualdez, others tagged in flood control mess</strong></a></div><p>He said he knows that there are &quot;several&quot; in the opposition who “would love to bring me into this — to include me in all of this.&quot; </p><p>He added: &quot;But that&#x27;s politics.
