<p>MANILA — Vice President Sara Duterte said she will not ask former running mate President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to help with former President Rodrigo Duterte’s temporary release from the International Criminal Court.</p><p>The ICC Pre-Trial Chamber I rejected the Defense’s interim release bid but lawyer Nicholas Kaufman has filed an appeal.</p><p>Vice President Duterte told reporters in Zamboanga City that &quot;there&#x27;s no going back&quot; from what she and her supporters have called a &quot;government kidnapping&quot; of her father to face the case at the ICC in the Netherlands. </p><p>&quot;Trabaho niya yun, eh. Carpio chimes in</strong></a></div><p>The administration has maintained the position that the government was obligated to help Interpol serve the ICC warrant on former president Duterte.</p><p>Vice President Duterte again declined to identify the third country that might host her father if granted interim release, saying only that the unnamed state cooperated on the Defense’s appeal.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>‘SAD AND FRUSTRATED’</strong></div><p>For now, the vice president said she has yet to talk to the Duterte patriarch, saying that it is her younger sibling, Veronica “Kitty” Duterte who has information on how he is.</p><p>The former president&#x27;s brother Bong also visits him regularly, she said.</p><p>“Matagal na kaming hindi nagkausap. Matagal na siya hindi tumatawag sa akin,” she the vice president said.</p><p>(We have not talked in a long time.
