<div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:960px"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/176163851159220241101-undas-manila north-MT-05.jpg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">People flock to the Manila North Cemetery to visit their departed loved ones in observance of All Saints&#x27; Day on November 1, 2024 in Manila.<em> Maria Tan, ABS-CBN News </em></span></span></span></div><p>MANILA — The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) has called on all local government units and law enforcement agencies to ensure a safe, peaceful, and orderly commemoration of All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days this 2025.</p><p>In a memorandum issued to local officials, the DILG reminded governors, mayors, and barangay captains &quot;to take proactive measures to guarantee that our cemeteries, roads, and communities remain safe, clean, and orderly throughout Undas.&quot;</p><p>&quot;Preparedness, coordination, and vigilance are key to a peaceful observance,” the DILG said in a statement.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/weather-traffic/2025/10/27/toll-operators-brace-for-metro-manila-exodus-ahead-of-undas-2025-1437">Toll operators brace for Metro Manila exodus ahead of Undas 2025</a></div><div><br/></div><div><strong>DOUBLE POLICE DEPLOYMENT NATIONWIDE </strong></div><p>The Philippine National Police (PNP) will double its deployment of police officers this year to manage the expected influx of people in cemeteries, terminals, and major roads.</p><p>PNP spokesperson BGen. Randulf Tuaño said that over 50,000 police personnel will be deployed nationwide—more than double last year’s number.</p><p>Of these, 2,288 will be stationed in airports, 1,771 in bus terminals, 1,054 in seaports, and over 35,000 in more than 5,000 cemeteries and columbaria across the country.</p><p>Around 6,475 police officers will also be assigned to traffic assistance hubs and major thoroughfares.</p><p>The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), and Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) will deploy an additional 16,000 personnel for public safety and emergency response.</p><p>Meanwhile, the DILG said that around 45,000 force multipliers—including barangay tanods, volunteer radio groups, and civic organizations—will help ensure orderliness in public areas.</p><div> </div><div><strong>SCAM AND SAFETY WARNINGS </strong></div><p>The DILG and PNP warned travelers to be cautious of online scams, particularly fake Airbnb listings and “rent-tangay” car rental schemes, which tend to spike during the holiday rush.</p><p>“Patuloy tayong nagpaalala sa mga kababayan natin kaugnay sa mga scam online tulad nung sa Airbnb and &#x27;yong mga for rent kung saan pupunta po &#x27;yung ating mga kababayan. Kapag ito ay too good to be true, it is probably is.
