<div> </div>MANILA (3rd UPDATE) — Ten senators of the 20th Congress who were also senators back in 2020 saw their net worth rise — some by more than four times — in their latest Statements of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth.Two others who were also senators in 2020 — the last year the Senate posted <a href="https://web.senate.gov.ph/2020%20SALN%20table%20summary.pdf">SALN summaries on its website</a> — saw their net worth dip in their latest declarations.<div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/10/29/some-lawmakers-just-waiting-for-house-policy-on-saln-disclosure-ridon-1706">Lawmakers just waiting for House policy on SALN disclosure — Ridon</a></div>Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri&#x27;s net worth increased by P211,042,699.49 to P431,779,401.92 on December 31, 2024 from P220,736, 702.43 in 2020.Zubiri said in an October 24, 2025 letter to Senate Secretary Renato Bantug said the increase &quot;is primarily attributed to the sale of my ownership interests in two of my power companies, Bukidnon Power Corp. and North Bukidnon Power Corp. to publicly listed Vivant Power.&quot; He said the companies were set up in 2014, before he was elected to the Senate in 2016. Sen. Imee Marcos saw an increase in her net worth of around 354 percent to P164,995,467 on her June 30, 2025 SALN from her 2020 net worth of P36,270,467.Marcos attributed it to the success of her film productions as well as other ventures.&quot;In 2022, [Sen. Panfilo Lacson, with a declared net worth of P244,940,509.60 on June 30, 2025 had a net worth of P58,330,268 in 2020, an increase of 319 percent. Lacson attributed the increase to &quot;legitimate and successful real estate and trading business activities that started in early 2020 and continued to prosper&quot; while he was out of public office.&quot;The spike in my net worth is attributed to the dividends that I have so far received during that period,&quot; Lacson, who returned to the Senate after the May polls, said.Sen. Lito Lapid saw his net worth rise by P127,087,775.68 to P202,036,375.68 from P74,948,600 in 2020.Senate President Vicente Sotto III had a net worth of P188,868,123.4, up P103,224,645.77 from his 2020 net worth of P85,643,477.63.Sotto said there is an &quot;obvious&quot; reason for the spike in his net worth.&quot;It rose when I was no longer in the Senate and concentrated on our TV business,&quot; he said. &quot;From 2023 to the present, TVJ na [ang] producers ng &#x27;Eat Bulaga!&#x27;.
