Jonathan Cellona, ABS-CBN News</span></span></span></div><p>MANILA — The Philippines does not need a change in constitution, but a “change of attitude and a change of heart” among public servants, Malacañang said on Tuesday, underscoring that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is not in favor of calls to change parts of the Constitution to tighten regulations against corruption.</p><p>“Ang Pangulo ay, sa ngayon, hindi sumasang-ayon sa isang Constitutional change. Maraming paraan para maresolba ang ganitong sitwasyon. Maraming batas na maaaring gamitin kung susunod lamang ang mga public officials natin,” Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro said. </p><p>“Hindi kailangan ng constitutional change. Bakit hindi na nagtu-turn over sa local government?” she said.</p><p>“Dapat ito ay ie-endorse, iimplement, sundin ng ating mga public servants. Alan Peter Cayetano’s call for snap elections amid the public’s waning trust in government officials as allegations of corruption, especially in flood control projects, hounded the bureaucracy.</p><p>“Ito ay wishful thinking lamang. Wala tayong panahon na pag-isipan ang personal desires ng iilan,” Castro said.</p><p>“Walang oras ang Pangulo para isipin ang ganitong mga pamumulitika.”</p>
