BI: Lookout bulletin won't stop flood control players from leaving PH

A Bureau of Immigration spokesperson on Thursday clarified an immigration lookout bulletin order is not the same as a hold departure order or warrant of arrest that will prevent individuals from leaving the country. “With the lookout bulletin, hindi ito makakaantala ng biyahe of any individual subject of it unless may iba pang issues. Walang legal reason for BI to hold travel,” BI spokesperson Dana Sandoval said in a DZMM interview.ILBOs only direct immigration officials to monitor and note a subject&#x27;s movements in and out of the country. ILBOs also direct immigration officials to check whether the subject has a pending arrest warrant or hold-departure order against them.Sandoval said the BI cannot track the final destinations of individuals on the watchlist but will rely solely on the papers submitted including plane tickets.“The lookout bulletin is really just a monitoring tool and nothing else,” she said.The Independent Commission for Infrastructure on Wednesday requested the Department of Justice to issue Immigration Lookout Bulletin Orders for incumbent lawmakers Francis Escudero, Joel Villanueva, Jinggoy Estrada, Martin Romualdez, and other current and former officials tagged in the flood control scandal.Aside from the 4 lawmakers , the ICI sought ILBOs for the following:• Former Senator Ramon &quot;Bong&quot; Revilla Jr.• Mayor Maria Lourdes &quot;Nancy&quot; Binay Angeles• Commission on Audit Commissioner Mario G.
