<p>MANILA — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is too preoccupied to pay attention to Cavite Rep. Kiko Barzaga’s supposed plan to file an impeachment complaint against him, Malacañang said on Thursday. </p><p>Barzaga on Wednesday showed an impeachment complaint his camp has supposedly prepared against Marcos, saying that the President allegedly betrayed public trust and violated the Constitution amid the corruption issues surrounding several flood control projects.</p><p>“Sa panahon ngayon na marami pong ginagawa po ang Pangulo, hindi po pinapansin ang mga ganyang klaseng usapin,” Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro said. </p><p>“Busy ang Pangulo, sa pagtulong sa mga kababayan natin, maraming trabaho para maiangat pa ang Pilipinas, hindi para ibaba ang dignidad ng ating bansa,” she  told Palace reporters.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/9/30/ph-army-recommends-delisting-barzaga-as-reservist-over-protest-call-1549">PH Army recommends delisting Barzaga as reservist over protest call</a></div><p>Castro said it was difficult to comment on Barzaga’s allegations since the 27-year-old lawmaker did not provide evidence to prove his allegations against the President.</p><p>“Mahirap po kasing magsalita ng walang ebidensiya, madaling magbintang, madaling magsabi kung anu-ano,” she said. “Kung walang ebidensiya hindi dapat paniwalaan.”</p><p>Castro added that the issue was under the jurisdiction of the House of Representatives, and not the executive branch.</p><div><strong>RELATED VIDEO: </strong></div><div><strong><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/QQu76wcqhKc?&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span></strong><br/></div>
