Binigyan po kami ng abiso [kahapon] ng Martes na &#x27;yung pumping [station] daw po namin ay bumigay at hindi po makakapagbomba [ng tubig],&quot; Bgy. 672 chairman Manuel Garcia said.Three barangays—671, 672, and 674—were among the hardest hit, with residents near Estero de Paco moved to Justo Lukban Elementary School for safety.&quot;Kaya po kami ay inabisuhan na kung saka-sakali na tataas ang tubig, kailangan po namin mailikas ang aming constituents na malapit sa Estero de Paco,&quot; Garcia said.According to the barangay, about 90 families from six barangays were evacuated on Sunday, but the number has since dropped to around 20 families or 40 individuals as floodwaters began to subside.Motorists meanwhile struggled to navigate through the flooded streets. Some vehicles stalled in the middle of the road, while others chose to turn back.One of them, Melvin Barba, was on his way home from work when his motorcycle nearly stalled.“Aabutin ang makina talaga. Mahal ang pagawa, wag natin pilitin,&quot; Barba said, adding that the flooding may have also been worsened by garbage blocking the drains.&quot;Hindi [dahil] sa pumping station &#x27;yan. Maaaring ganoon [pero dahil] sa basura &#x27;yan e. Wala tayong magagawa, tyaga lang,&quot; he added.Authorities have yet to provide an update on when the Paco Pumping Station will be repaired.
