Dennis Datu, ABS-CBN News</span></span></span></div><div><br/></div><p>DINALUNGAN, Aurora — The province of Aurora has been placed under a state of calamity following the massive destruction caused by Super Typhoon Uwan, particularly in towns located in the northern part of the province.</p><p>According to a report from the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRMO), around 10,735 families, or 33,908 individuals, were evacuated due to the onslaught of the typhoon.</p><p>Several landslides were also recorded, including one in Barangay Calaocan, Dipaculao, near the boundary of Maddela town in Quirino Province.</p><p>Access has now been restored to previously isolated towns of Dinalungan, Casiguran, and Dilasag, as well as seven barangays in Dipaculao, after clearing operations were carried out along the Baler–Casiguran Road, which sustained massive destruction due to the storm surge.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/regions/2025/11/10/super-typhoon-uwan-batters-aurora-4-northern-towns-isolated-1141">4 northern Aurora towns isolated after super typhoon Uwan batters province</a></div><p>However, movement along the road remains difficult as only one lane of the road is currently open to vehicles.</p><p>Large portions of the Baler–Casiguran Road, from Sitio Amper in Barangay Gupa to Barangay Ditale in Dipaculao, were destroyed.</p><p>The area, also known as the Boulevard, was once a favorite destination among vloggers and tourists for its breathtaking coastal views.</p><p>A row of seaside restaurants along the road was also wiped out after being swallowed by the storm surge.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/regions/2025/11/9/violent-waves-crash-into-aurora-as-uwan-nears-families-evacuate-1635">Violent waves crash into Aurora as &#x27;Uwan&#x27; nears; families evacuate</a></div><p>“Sobrang lungkot talagang nakakapanlumo ang nangyari hindi namin sukat akalain. May mga dumarating na bagyo nasisiraan kami pero buo pa rin.
