Senate Public Relations and Information Bureau/File</span></span></span></div><p>MANILA — Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin on Monday sidestepped questions on reports that he would soon be replaced as President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s top Cabinet official.</p><p>“Let’s wait for the official announcement,” Bersamin told reporters when asked to confirm if he would soon be removed from his current post.</p><p>Talks of a looming Cabinet revamp come days after former House Appropriations Committee chairperson <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/11/15/ombudsman-tells-zaldy-co-to-present-evidence-vows-to-provide-protection-1450">Zaldy Co</a> accused Presidential Legislative Liaison Office (PLLO) Undersecretary Adrian Bersamin — a supposed relative of the executive secretary — of involvement in the siphoning of public funds through flood control projects.</p><p>Several reports claimed that Finance Secretary Ralph Recto was set to replace Bersamin, but the senator-turned-Cabinet member denied this, saying that he had not received any offers for the post.</p><p>“There is no offer. My marching order today is the Department of Finance. It has always been in the DOF,” Recto said on the sidelines of the Senate&#x27;s deliberations on the 2026 budget.</p><p>“There is no offer, there is nothing to accept,” he added.</p><p>Malacañang has yet to respond to queries about the reported Cabinet revamp.</p><div><strong>— With a report from RG Cruz, ABS-CBN News </strong></div><div><br style="caret-color:rgb(0, 0, 0);color:rgb(0, 0, 0)"/></div>
